Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our Shared Service Centre (SSC) is currently looking for a Junior AP Accountant. This is an opportunity for a talented, self-motivated individual to develop their skill set and network in PwC, working with experienced Accounting and Finance practitioners across the region.

Your main duty will be to provide administrative and accounting support to entities in central and eastern Europe administered by the SSC.

Work in SSC is specific and different than work in other departments of PwC. It combines the advantages of working in a SSC and the unique environment of the largest consultancy network in the world.

Your responsibilities:
  • provide administrative and accounting support to clients administered by the SSC
  • process incoming and outgoing invoices and payment documents according to internal - procedures and accounting principles and legislation
  • control, verify and prepare invoices for final processing
  • prepare information for financial statements and general ledger
  • communicate with English speaking clients in order to resolve routine queries and problems

Personality requirements and skills

  • experience in a similar or an accounting position is a big advantage
  • sense of detail and precision required
  • strong organizational & technical skills with a desire to seek new learning opportunities to stay technical and relevant
  • self-starter capable of deciding what needs to be done without being told
  • good communication skills in English, oral and written, with the ability to draft and deliver clear messages to clients
  • ability to think and plan ahead, be flexible, to cope with tight deadlines, to quickly shift gears in a dynamic environment
  • ability to work as part of a team, whether with your colleagues or the practice with the ability to share and collaborate, creating a positive team spirit
