Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our Shared Service Centre (SSC) is currently looking for an Senior Expense Specialist. This is an opportunity for a talented, self-motivated individual to develop their skill set and network in PwC, working with experienced Expense practitioners and providing support to other PwC colleagues to prepare valid Expense reports and across a range of other administrative tasks. The position is suitable for experienced professionals.

Work in SSC is specific and different than work in other departments of PwC. It combines the advantages of working in a SSC and the unique environment of the largest consultancy network in the world.

• Responsible for handling and processing all related travel and employee expense reimbursements within established guidelines and timeframes
• Responsible for processing expense reports accurately and timely
• Expense Report auditing and performing quality checks based on legal requirements of specific territory
• Reconciling company corporate credit card transactions and open items on personal accounts
• Preparation of payments and deductions
• Participate in the quarterly/annual closing process
• Assist with monthly/quarterly reporting on trends in travel and employee expenses
• Follow up with employees regarding non-compliant expenses or missed deadlines
• Coordinate and/or respond to inquiries regarding reimbursements and/or expense policy
• Supporting the company in maintaining a work environment focused on quality, respect, collaboration and teamwork
• Prepare analysis of complex data, perform ad-hoc tasks as needed and ensure regular update of internal procedures

Personality requirements and skills

• At least 2 years experience in Accounting/Finance position required, preferably related to expense process within SSC
• University degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred
• Ability to clearly communicate in both written and spoken English with very good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees across the organization
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sense of detail and precision required
• The desire to improve processes and make your own job easier over time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with atitude for prioritizing and multi-tasking
• MS Office, Accounting knowledge
