Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our Shared Service Centre (SSC) is currently looking for an Expense Specialist. This is an opportunity for a talented, self-motivated individual to develop their skill set and network in PwC, working with experienced Expense practitioners and serving as a support to other PwC colleagues to prepare valid Expense reports and across a range of other administrative tasks. The position is suitable for experienced professionals.

Work in SSC is specific and different than work in other departments of PwC. It combines the advantages of working in a SSC and the unique environment of the largest consultancy network in the world.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review details of expense receipts in support of expense report submissions to ensure accuracy, authenticity, completeness, timeliness, appropriate itemization and eligibility of expenses based on established guidelines
• Make sure that all 3rd party invoices and expense reports are accurate and have been properly coded and approved by the authorizing employee
• Check for discrepancies/errors, missing information and receipts and communicate them to other party in a timely manner.
• Communicate with clients to resolve any expense report discrepancies
• Follow up with employees regarding non-compliant expenses or missed deadlines
• May perform some basic accounting tasks related to exchange rate adjustments and reclassifications
• Regular update of the Desktop procedures

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree/High school degree in Economics
• experience in similar or an accounting position is big advantage
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Sense of detail and precision required
• Competent in MS Excel and MS Word, PowerPoint
• Presentations only for internal purposes (within the group or for several teams within the division)
• Manage more junior colleagues and new joiners
• Deadlines have to be met on a daily basis, managing peak periods and higher workload particularly in a busy season
• Analyses less complex data
