Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a CTO to join us and help us to continue our international growth. Through your leadership you will steer our technology vision, strategy and implementation for our group and country-specific operations.
We offer an exciting opportunity to work in an international environment and you can be based in Helsinki, Prague or Bratislava.
You will be the technology domain leader in Alma Career, and the country specific CTOs and their respective organisations will report to you via dotted line reporting. You will work in close liaison and align the Alma Career technology operations with Alma Media group operations
The central objective of your work is to own and drive the technology vision and implementation in Alma Career businesses globally.

In practice, your responsibilities are:

1)Own and systematically develop the Alma Career technology
• Lead the technology operation jointly with the country organisations
• Develop the group's technology strategy and the utilization of technological resources
• Identify,compare and select technology solutions to meet the needs of the group
• Participate in technology due diligence processes for potential M&A targets

2)Execute the technology change agenda
• Plan and execute a consolidation strategy for existing technology platforms when applicable, jointly with the country teams
• Assist the country teams to use technology profitably and efficiently
• Define and implement common technology practices and performance metrics across group and ensure compliance

Personality requirements and skills

You are business-minded and have a proven change in leadership capabilities. You follow technology trends actively and are able to conduct research and analysis.
You have an advanced technological skillset and a demonstrated history with similar duties. You have a university degree and earlier work experience as a CTO or in a similar technology leadership role, preferably in an international environment.
In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development as well as modern cloud architectures are seen as an advantage.
We expect excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. You are able to travel at work.
