Currently, we are looking for a Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join our Regulatory Reporting Project as a Subject Matter Expert. As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant, you will report directly to the Project Manager and work closely with other Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant to ensure strategic and business alignment and to support the delivery team. Working with key business, data and systems stakeholders, you will provide requirements, expertise, guidance and best practices in resolving regulatory reporting process, data gaps and facilitate their solutions implementation and acceptance.

Your Tasks:

• Provide best practice inputs into process design in relation to data capture, data quality and data corrections relating to regulatory
• Single point of Contact for all regulatory reporting requirements, guidelines and clarifications for the project delivery team. You will liaise with regulators, compliance and leverage your experience to ensure that reporting data definitions and capture guidelines are in accordance with regulatory reporting rules and requirements
• Reconcile data and perform User Acceptance testing to ensure the correct data and solutions are delivered in support of regulatory reporting needs; and facilitate approval and sign-offs with key stakeholders
• Support the PM in the facilitation and resolution of blockers and issues relating to regulatory reporting requirements and solutions with business, data and IT stakeholders
• Support analysis and design activities of the project team through guiding analytical and profiling activities and reviewing specifications and solutions against regulatory reporting requirements

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Experience in the position/sector

A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Regulatory Reporting within the insurance industry

Personality requirements and skills

• Qualified accountant with professional accreditation; CIMA, ACCA, ACA
• Extensive experience of Regulatory Reporting in the non-Lloyds and/or Company Market; Solvency I, Solvency II, BMA, ELTO
• Experience in BAU preparing, reviewing, signing off and submitting of key Regulatory Reports; including NAIC IID, Surplus Lines State Reporting from a UK entity
• Understanding of the Regulatory Reports process; how, what and why they are being prepared and submitted
• Experience in reporting across all types of inwards and outwards policies (Insurance, Reinsurance, Binders, Line slips and Bulking Line slips)
• Ability to access a challenge in structured way to break into different requirement
• Knowledge of formulating and implementing Regulatory Reporting processes for new markets and jurisdictions
• Proven experience supporting financial transformation within projects, working within context and constraints of a wider management framework
• Excellent Excel working with complex formula/tables and submission templates

Nice to have:

• Understanding of Terror Pools reporting eg. TRIA, ATIA, Gareat
• Knowledge of sourcing and preparing data from exposure management systems; Eclipse, BDX
• Knowledge and experience of sourcing and managing reference data and mappings e.g., Broker References, SII Class of Business, Zip Codes etc.
