Sustainability is a new function in a company. As Sustainability and the broader Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) agenda grows, so will the demands on our firm to develop their related framework and reporting.
The goals of the Sustainability function are to:
1. Develop an ESG strategy and framework for the Group.
2. Raise awareness of sustainability developments and communicate business requirements.
3. Understand how sustainability issues impact various functions and business lines.
4. Inform business both from an opportunistic and risk aware perspective.
5. Develop a sustainable culture across the company.
This role will require material engagement with different functions across the business and also with external stakeholders.
Your Tasks:
• Develop the firms’ ESG related metrics and build a framework for tracking this information
• Develop the firm’s use of external rating services, identifying and extracting key ESG data points to build portfolio and client ESG profiles
• Support and coordinate ESG related reporting, internal and external both as stand-alone reports or contributing to wider risk reports
• Raise awareness of ESG issues across the business through internal communications resources (eg Slack) on the different strands, influences, developments of ESG and notably the transition to a net zero economy
• Support the work of the risk function in the development of the Climate risk framework, addressing the financial impact of climate risk
• Support the Head of Sustainability in engagement with external partners and collaboration opportunities e.g. Climatewise, Insurance Development Forum etc.

Requirements for the employee
Candidates with education suit the position
University education (Master's degree)
Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Experience in the position/sector
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience (insurance or financial services strongly preferred), ideally in a

• Good understanding of ESG agenda
• Strong ability to developing metrics and build effective reporting from data sources
• Experience in playing a key role in the delivery of internal and external reporting requirements
• Ability to work autonomously and make decisions
• Strong data management skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
