We are looking for someone to join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, which sits within the Group Risk Function, which is comprised of three ‘pillars’ (teams); Insurance Risk, Financial and Market Risk, and Enterprise Risk. The primary role of the Junior Enterprise Risk Analyst is to support the Group Head of ERM and ERM Manager through the effective delivery of oversight and monitoring of Enterprise Risk across the Group. This role will provide the candidate with the ability to work and collaborate across the three pillars within the Group Risk Function and provide great opportunities for personal growth and knowledge.

Your Tasks:
• Assist the ERM team in the completion of the quarterly Risk and Control Assessment (‘RCA’) process ensuring that RCA data and MI is up to date and accurate
• Monitoring and managing Risk Incidents, this will include the updating of systems and liaison with key business stakeholders to ensure that the relevant actions are completed
• Assist with further developments and embedding of the Risk Appetite statements and metrics across the Group
• Monitoring and tracking of risk management actions, ensuring that all actions are up to date and any overdue actions are flagged appropriately
• Assist the wider ERM team with the timely production of risk reporting for the CROs before it is submitted to the Group Executive Risk Committee and/or relevant Executive Committee and Boards
• Assist with the review and enhancement of Risk policies and frameworks
• Assist the ERM team in undertaking deep-dive reports across the business, which will help enable proactive risk management actions
• Monitor and assist with the reporting on emerging risks and opportunities
• Help enhance and embed a strong risk culture across the business which will be built upon strong engagement with each business area

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Experience in the position/sector

Minimum 1 years’ experience within a Risk Management role within the insurance or financial service

Personality requirements and skills

• Basic understanding of key insurance and reinsurance practices
• Ability to monitor and understand both quantitative and qualitative pieces of data or information effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Eagerness to develop and learn
• Ability to work in an evolving environment
• Technology literate (familiar with standard software (e.g. Microsoft Office) but are open to working with new technology, software and systems)

Nice to have:

• A degree in a relevant discipline is preferential but not a prerequisite (Science, Maths, Economics, Business or Social Science)
• CII qualifications and/or any other relevant qualifications are preferential. Again this is not a prerequisite and if successful, candidates will be fully supported with further study
