Job description, responsibilities and duties

Database Administrator role is to oversee the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house databases and database solutions based on the Microsoft SQL Server platform.
- This will be achieved through monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all related processes while providing expertise in architecture and decisions.
- Using efficient communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, the Database Administrator will identify, communicate, and resolve issues with the overall objective to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Main tasks:
- Install, configure, maintain, optimize and monitor the database systems. Provide expertise and support for the different instances of solutions.
- Contribute actively to the improvement and development of existing infrastructure
- Analyse the needs of the users, define the technical specifications and evolutions
- Ensure database server security, data integrity and durability
- Monitor the availability, load and proper functioning of systems
- Contribute to the definition of architecture and database administration
- Participate in the implementation of high availability solutions as the main driving force
- Contribute to the configuration of recovery, disaster recovery and backup plan models
- Working with Cloud solutions – Azure, Amazon, Alibaba etc.
- Administration - Reporting Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services

Requirements for the employee

Required education

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Microsoft SQL Server expertise or no SQL DBA – 3 + years previous experience on a similar role
- Experience with configuration of redundant and high-availability database solutions
- Experience with optimizing databases for performance and troubleshooting
- Experience with database monitoring and database security
- Understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory and related infrastructure context
- Experience with other relational or non-relational databases welcomed
- Experience with cloud solutions – Azure, Amazon etc. welcomed
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to think creatively and document standard tasks
