Job description, responsibilities and duties

Purpose of the function
Organizing the production activities to make the planned quantities available at the right quality and at the desired time and at minimum cost, within the framework provided by the Floré group (safety, well-being, sustainability, ...)

Result areas with relevant examples of activities
You organize the production activities in the laminar flow area & cultivation rooms to realize the requested production;
- Based on the production planning, provided by the supply chain, you organize the short and middle terms staff-planning together with your assistant manager so that all tasks to be performed are assigned to the right people.
- You process the production data (among others in MES) into meaningful information with which you actively control and report KPI’s such as contamination, multiplication factors, productivity, etc.
- With the support of the quality manager you take continuous improvement initiatives concerning plant quality and the introduction of new production techniques
- You make improvement proposals that you discuss with colleague managers and the site manager in particular. You contribute to the possible implementation of these proposals.
- In cooperation with the responsible for the cleaning team, you organize and supervise the hygiene team in your production area’s
- On request and in function of possibility, you make materials and staff available for medium production or other departments.
- You are responsible for the technical equipment in perfect operational condition requesting necessary interventions (internal/external) and actively taking part in investment proposals.

You are responsible for the people-management in the cutting area and cultivation rooms, this in close cooperation with the site manager and HR;
- You are the people manager for your department being reachable, coaching and inspiring for your team.
- You organize the permanent training of all your team members using development interviews, input from the site manager and the responsible plant quality and development
- You conduct a development interview with all your employees at least once a year. For cutters / cutters you ask input from your assistant manager or team leaders.
- You participate in the selection of new employees.
- Evaluating the production planning and expected productivity, you advise the site manager on adjustments to the workforce.
- You coach your assistant and your team leaders in achieving their development and operational objectives
- You take the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of your team as much as possible.

You maintain strong contacts with site manager, colleagues & MF departments;
- Technical faults are reported by your department to the technical manager. It is also indicated when the installation is available for repair / maintenance
- Important fluctuations in production are passed on to the person responsible for growth chamber and medium preparation so that they can anticipate this optimally
- Significant deviations from the product planning are passed on to the supply chain in time so that the necessary corrective measures can be taken.
- You have active contribution towards meetings with MF concerning production planning and product quality

Then maybe you become our new production manager?!
The production manager is responsible for the organisation and managing of the production in the Slovakian lab of Microflor, PPS. This production process consists of in vitro multiplication of orchids through specific cutting techniques in a clean lab environment. This production process is manually very intensive.
In this role you are responsible for leading the production in all its aspects. You ensure an efficient and smooth operation and in cooperation with the Quality manager you ensure high quality standards. As a change manager you think about improvement proposals in terms of efficiency, quality and safety. You also participate in the further digitalisation and automation of the processes.

- You have good knowledge of plants and keep them actively up to date
- You are a people manager inspiring and motivating your team to achieve the required company targets, taking care of their personal targets.
- You are analytical and structured; problems are approached by you from different angles and approached in a structured way
- Experience and knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, SAP, Excell, Access or some production software desirable
- You take initiative & responsibility for improvement projects in your area
