Commercial Finance Analyst

We are currently searching for a potential candidate for the Commercial Finance Analyst position. Main task of this job is to partner with Commercial Managers (Sales, Marketing) to deliver the financial plan, budget and forecast; to oversee and drive rigour into commercial spend and to generate detailed financial analysis and commentary that underpin decision support.


Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Works with Commercial Managers to deliver the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provides Commercial teams with strong financial support through the planning process (e.g. situation analysis, strat plans, quarterly reports)
• Provides analysis and evaluation of the plan, budget and forecast related to its specific area of focus (e.g. channel, geography, brand)
• Evaluates investment choices to provide a long term perspective of the impact on portfolio profitability
• Ensures adequate and accurate budget cost allocation

Business Performance Management and Decision Support
• Monitors its dedicated area performance and variance against the agreed plan, providing detailed trend analysis and exception reporting with reference to external and internal benchmarking
• Assesses financial aspects of initiatives and projects relevant to its dedicated area and provides recommendations

Governance & Control to Commercial function
• Facilitates communication of Finance policies and procedures to the Commercial Functions


• University degree
• 2 years experience preferably in FMCG industry
• Relevant qualification (ACCA, CIMA) is of advantage
• Ability to manage outputs from cross functional teams
• Solid analytical skills
• High level of drive and self-motivation
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Advanced business English
