Job description, responsibilities and duties


ROLE PURPOSE:
  • Act as a medical and scientific representative of the company.
  • Deliver high level medical and scientific expertise to internal and external stakeholders, medical to medical communication, opinion leader management, field force training and scientific presentation to physicians for the related products.
  • Provide medical and scientific guidance for assigned products, taking into account health service decision makers to:
    • Build and develop enduring peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions, creating constructive, cross-functional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to generate customer insights and leverage business opportunities
    • Support brand strategies by implementation of local non-interventional studies, development and leverage of IIR opportunities, supporting feasibilities for phase 1-4 studies, management of local advisory boards, interaction with local clinical investigators and other key activities
    • Provide high-quality, accurate, balanced and directed information to key customers and stakeholders in response to unsolicited requests for information
    • Ensure customer intelligence and customer findings are fed back into the organization to generate customer insights and leverage business opportunities
    • Supports as Medical Reviewer/Approver of promotional materials, of regulatory documents. Advise to other internal customers as appropriate. Medical Training of internal employees (e.g. field force).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Opinion Leaders Management (Medical to medical communication)
  • Mapping and identification of opinion leaders in his/her region
  • Development and maintenance of professional relationships with external opinion leaders in selected region
  • Establishment of partnership with medical societies
  • Organization/preparation of medical educational events for the scientific community according to the company's strategy
  • Responding to medical communication needs
  • Participation and interaction with Healthcare Professionals during local, regional, national scientific meetings, as well as in "advisory boards" and "speakers trainings" or other meetings involving opinion leaders
  • Support to scientific projects in accordance with Investigator Initiated Reasearch Policy
  • Scientific presentations to opinion leaders

Field Force training
  • Identification of additional training needs and improvement of sales representatives knowledge
  • Regular trainings in corresponding therapeutic area

Support product strategies by providing information based on the field experiences

  • Input to medical plan
  • Support to Local/Regional Advisory Boards
  • Cooperation with patients' associations
  • Keeping up with the literature of particular therapeutic area and identification of possible gaps in knowledge among the company's products and their competitors

Collaboration
  • Contribution to the work of brand/cross-functional teams and collaboration with internal customers to facilitate a cohesive approach to marketing of Pfizer products
  • Provision of scientific support and expertise to brand/cross-functional team and other internal and external stakeholders with respect to clinical and outcomes research, regulatory aspects and compliance
  • Coaching Field Force with medical expertise
  • Demonstrating appropriate knowledge and understanding of internal departments, key contacts, organizational structure, business imperatives and culture
  • Develop highly functioning teams, grow and develop colleagues

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Technical:
  • Knowledge of local legal processes - demonstrate good knowledge of AIFP Ethical Code, Law on Adverstising, Law on Medicines and Medical Devices, local authority (ŠÚKL) rules
  • Product and therapeutic areas knowledge - Demonstrate best knowledge of products atributes
  • Project and process management - Demonstrate ability to train internal and external customers
  • Presentation/influencing skills - Demonstrate platform skills; experience in presenting to large group

Managerial:
  • Communication - Cooperate within medical department, with marketing and sales teams
  • Teamwork and cooperation - Develop active interactions with external and internal stakeholders
  • Analytical thinking - Utilize deep therapeutic areas opportunities
  • Customer focus - Build a strongrelationship with KOLs, professional societies and patient organisations
  • Strategic thinking - Participate and implement planning process (operating plan,marketing plan)
  • Building expertise - Actively participate in organisation of Advisory Boards, Satellite Symposia
  • Concern of quality

Education:

  • MD preferred, or PharmDr., RNDr.

Experience:

  • At least two years of medical experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or related fields, as appropriate to customer segment
  • Extensive experience in customer segment work is a definite asset
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Bilingualism (local language and English) is required
