Senior Accountant

For our Pfizer office in Slovakia we are looking for a Senior Accountant.

This is what you can look forward to:
• Tax Ensure accurate and timely completion and filing of VAT returns
• Ensure the all VAT payments and relevant VAT controls in a timely manner
• Oversee the Tax process to identify follow-up and resolve any errors or exceptions
• Follow up on outstanding repayments/refund applications
• Tax accounts reconciliation
• Involvement and initiation of projects on above process/system efficiencies
• Manage the resolution of items assigned to you on ad-hoc basis
• Prepare and cooperate with submission reporting to statistical bureau and tax authorities
• Prepare journals for Corporate Income Tax return
• Monitor and account for correct tax deductible / non-tax deductible accounting treatment
• Other internal reporting requirement
• Preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management
• Communication with auditors and Tax authorities by tax inspections
• Review of intercompany transactions, invoices, bi-annual cost center tagging review
• Provide audit support to the Pfizer business units when requested
• Permanent monitoring of tax legislation and ability to implement occurred changes
• Drive for continuous process improvements in the department
