Job description, responsibilities and duties

Medical/Scientific Advice
• Provide medical/scientific advice both inside and outside Pfizer for nominated products and therapeutic area to ensure that the commercial objectives of each product are realized; to support Pfizer’s image in the market place, abides by the Pfizer SOP’s principles and EME working practices
• Provide background data and information for the optimal categorization and reimbursement of drugs
Marketing support
• Provide medical/scientific input into the marketing plan (for nominated products) via full participation in XFT Team activities and “sign off” all marketing materials for medical correctness to ensure that the consumer is protected and Pfizer complies with the Code of Practice and Medicines Act and all regulations
• Support marketing colleagues during start of CEPs, serve as in country medical approver for CEPs
Sales Support/Education
• Participate in major events and provide direct support and training to the Sales force on medical matters relating to nominated products to ensure that sales opportunities are maximized in line with all regulations
Contact with opinion Leaders
• Target and develop ongoing relationships with opinion leaders for nominated products to ensure that their opinions are taken into consideration in Pfizer’s products promotion
Drug Safety
• Assess the impact of all market feedback and data relating to drug safety (for nominated products) and ensure that appropriate medical recommendations or actions are taken, to ensure that the consumer is protected and so that Pfizer complies with the requirements of regulatory bodies
Research projects
• Management of Medical Grants in line with GNT-01 SOP via GMG system
Cross Divisional Working
• Contribute to the work of cross functional product teams to facilitate a cohesive approach to the marketing and sales of Pfizer products.
MAPP implementation
• Coordination of administrative procedures in accordance with Pfizer polices, including GCMA
• Maintenance of all relevant and required MAPP documents and conditions
Others
• The employee shall also perform other tasks set by his/her superior within general framework of the employee’s job title
Medical Information
• Provides responses to medical inquiries coming from internal and external customers for specified therapeutic area
• Responsible for tracking and maintenance of needed information related to medical inquiries in PRIMA system
• Handling Medical Information Inquiries and its documentation according to MI01-WI-MEDINFO and MI01-WI-EMEA WIs.
