Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are currently seeking an experienced PMO Director – IT & Telco on behalf of our client - dynamic and innovative company operating in the Telco/IT industry. This is a senior leadership role with a direct impact on the successful execution of complex initiatives across the organization.

  • Lead and continuously develop the Project Management Office (PMO)

  • Manage and mentor a team of skilled project managers

  • Oversee delivery of cross-functional and strategic projects with focus on IT 

  • Establish and enforce project standards, methodologies, and reporting frameworks

  • Coordinate project portfolio planning, resource allocation, and risk management

  • Provide senior management with insights on project performance and delivery

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Proven leadership experience in PMO or program/project management

  • Background in telecommunications, IT, or related technology-driven environment

  • Strong team leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Excellent knowledge of project portfolio management and agile/hybrid methods

  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on project delivery expertise

  • Fluency in English (Slovak is a must)
