Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• First level supervisor of technical processes & personnel for Paint Mix Room and phosphate & E-coat processes (day to day process control of team)
• Organize full shift cover for the production time, ensuring overtime is reduced to an absolute minimum
• Support weekly JLR technical meetings (facility and material introduction)
• Compile and update weekly Color harmony reports, weekly line report
• Plan & support current & new product trials with Customer
• Attend new Color introduction meetings
• Maintain housekeeping standards in areas of ownership in line with Customer standards (5'S', etc..)
• Ensure zero line stops
• Manage and analyse consumable material usage & cost within areas of responsibility
• Drive Kaizen cost savings within team to support year over year CPU savings
• Maintain compliance to all H&S and Environmental requirements
• Daily and weekly team talk communications
• Support Team roles in times of unplanned absence

Clients experienced teams provide paint management, logistics and quality control services to the automotive manufacturers to assist them to produce a high quality, cost effective paint finish on their vehicles.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

chemical or technical specialisation is advantage

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Minimum 2 years experience in a production facility
• Chemical and paint knowledge to an advanced standard is reqiured
• Trained or experienced in process management
• 2 years experience in supervisor role
• Advanced English language
• Familiar with Automotive Industry
• Educated to Advanced Level
• Advanced communication skills at all levels
• Minimum intermediate IT skills with experience of MS Office
