Responsibilities

• Participate in design decisions for new and existing application development, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles
• Prepare and provide project status and risk assessments to their manager with appropriate levels of detail to ensure that programs stay on schedule
• Actively develop software solutions for PDI products

Perform testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements

• Use a disciplined approach in an Agile environment to assist in analysis and determination of preferred solutions to technical challenges
• Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues; resolve issues with due urgency and maintain thorough documentation of all software solutions
• Compile test results to provide data for use in solving problems
• Perform engineering level tests to find defects; troubleshoot and debug development and production issues, collaborating with QA Engineers to develop optimal product test plans

About the project

The client uses different internal web and mobile apps that help with company business processes. One of the applications controls the process of hiring and dispatching employees to different client's jobs. Other application tracks employees worked hours on different jobs, creates timesheets and exports to a payroll system. My Employee Portal is a web and mobile app that every employee can use to sign up for different jobs within UPS and controls employee's personal information such as Paystubs, mailing or physical address. Safety App is a web and mobile app that helps to improve and maintaining the safety of employees working on site. There are also other web apps being planned and developed covering other areas of the client's business processes.

The web apps are developed using Angular 10 + Kendo and SyncFusion components, styled using SCSS and Bootstrap. One of the mobile apps is developed using Native Script another one using React Native (published both to Android and iOS platforms). The tools used by developers are Visual Studio, VS Code, SSMS, Git repository, Monorepo, NX Workspace and SSRS Reports.
