As a Cloud Ops Engineer, you will partner with a team of engineers for the design, implementation, deployment & operation of our PDI CI/CD production pipeline and cloud platform. The platform will be used internally by the engineering teams, providing them an internal pipeline to work with POCs, alpha, betas and release candidate environments, as well as supporting the pipeline into our production stage and release environments.

With the variety of environments, platforms, technologies & languages, you must be comfortable working in both Windows & Linux, scripting, and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities
  • The main priority is supporting and monitoring our Product/Services to ensure the reliability of systems in production, fixing issues, responding to incidents.
  • There will also be work on items in the team’s backlog for supporting the product engineering teams with their infrastructure and configuration needs which includes building CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
  • Promote and evangelize Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) design thinking every day
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and Tech Services to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
  • Contribute to the design of cloud infrastructure that is portable, secure, and scalable
  • Build and maintain tools and scripts for deployment, monitoring and managing production and non-production software and services
  • Continuously increase knowledge of our systems and solution stacks through active study, research & experimentation, and contribute to team knowledge-base through discussion and documentation

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  • 3-5 years building and maintaining infrastructure in AWS
  • Experience with deploying and provisioning infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • Familiar with containerization (Docker) and cloud orchestration
  • Experience in Windows and Linux systems, CLI and scripting
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Able to solve problems and accomplish tasks independently
