Job description, responsibilities and duties
•Technical responsibility for area of drawing parts, standard parts, factory supplies
• Strategic supplier selection for new products as well as negotiation and contract negotiations
• Sourcing of all new parts in the product development process
• Definition / development of the material group strategy and implementation of the strategy
• Implementation of procurement strategy with regards to standardization, pooling of intrests, etc.
• Optimization of the supplier portfolio for given commodities in aspect of total cost of ownership
• Project procurement in new development projects
• Supplier management – scouting, classification, qualification, selection, rating, development , phased out in supplier life cycle
• Member of sourcing team for “Make-or-Buy“ decisions inside of PJ team

• University degree in engineering or economics
• Min. 5 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing or sourcing (senior position)
• Good commercial and technical understanding, capable to read and comment purchasing contracts
• Required ability to read parts drawings, knowledge of plastic, steel, cables and connecting materials
• Project management – knowledge of the process
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Analytical, structured and result-oriented thinking and acting
• Team player, self motivated, open for travelling
• Knowledge of SAP procurement transactions (MM) incl. its purchasing platform ARIBA is highly welcome
• German and English fluent in spoken and written
