Lease Accounting Expert

The Lease Accounting Expert executes operational and processing activities with the specific focus on Leasing.  He /she executes all operational tasks required to successfully book all Lease Contracts incl. clarification of errors.
The responsibilty also includes data entry quality checks in order to perform IFRS-compliant postings. For this, the interaction with related parties, mainly with the Country Finance community is very important. He / she acts also as the first contact point for Country Finance and all related parties if questions to leasing occur.
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Executes services / processes in scope of lease contract collection to provide appropriate accounting results;
• Ensures complete posting of lease requirements according to IFRS 16;
• Alignes complex accounting transactions with the corporate accounting policy team upfront;
• Supports/ trains Country Finance community in data extraction and performs quality checks;
• Clarifies upcoming questions with the stakeholders
• Supports the IFRS 16 project team in the implementation phase of IFRS 16: functional testing, confirming customization requirements, support of migration, support training, analyzing results and prepare cut-off and go-live activities;
• Ensures appropriate information, communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders;
• Contributes to process improvements;
• Identifies and mitigates risks to achieving overall objectives ;
• Delivers a solid process performance;
• Support process documentation within the global frameworks.
