Job description, responsibilities and duties

Role purpose:

The main purpose of the role is to support Sales teams (channel Global Account Managers, OME Mobile Client Directors and OME Business Development Managers) in proposing competitive and winning responses to international mobile tenders issued by multinational customers/prospects of Orange. This involves transversal multinational project management, engaging with sales/bid teams from Orange mobile affiliates and partners (eg. the FreeMove alliance, Bridge Alliance and Orange Business Services).

The International Bid Manager is involved as soon as an opportunity is qualified through the response & negotiation phase of the bid, to contract signature and handover to implementation teams. As such the International Bid Manager attends all key customer meetings during the bid process.

This will be a temporary assignment for a fixed period of 6 months (maternity leave cover), external employment.

Key responsibilities:
• Manage competitive and winning proposals — the currently has a semester objective of number of lines (SIMs) to win (retentions & acquisitions)
• Opportunity qualification — in the pre-bid phase, can attend customer meetings, understand and help influence the customers’ requirements and can support the sales team in presenting Orange/FreeMove’s capabilities
• Analyse & respond to international mobile requests for information/quotation/proposals in line with customer defined schedules and requirements.
• Effectively support the analysis, negotiation and contract phases of the bid process by: ensuring all tender responses and the contracts that follow are authorized and valid, attending offer presentation meetings, supporting the negotiations, identifying risks that could impact the success of the bid, providing feedback to the entities involved, supporting the negotiation of the International Master Agreement.
• Deliver accurate and timely monthly reporting on individual activity using Customer Links
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the international bid process (and therefore results & revenues) by developing a good understanding of country offers, sharing feedback on products & services with marketing teams, contributing to the maintenance & improvement of bid tools and processes.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1) or French - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Fluent English & ideally fluent French
• Degree in business, or science or equivalent relevant experience
• Ability and leadership to manage multiple, complex multinational projects (cross functional/cross organizational working)
• Ability to analyse internal and external customer requirements
• Knowledge of the European mobile market and the multinational segment in particular
• Knowledge of the Orange mobile, Orange Business Services environment & the wider FT Group strategy
• Experience in the Orange Group
• Sales/pre-sale/service management role (customer facing role) in B2B environment
• Project management / coordination role in an international environment
