Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The P&L and Unit Cost Analysis Support team is in charge of allocation methodology consistency and Unit Cost analysis. It is:

1. monitoring cost logics with methodology champions
• It makes the link with the champion from Sales, Business Units or Factories to define and update allocation models
• It checks that the allocations are implemented correctly
• In case of any issue, it makes sure the corrections are agreed and logged. It communicates to users about the changes
2. responding to all issues raised by user in Sales, Business Units and Factories
• In case an input or model correction is needed, he qualifies the correction and follows its implementation and keeps informed the controllers/key users about the progress (2-3 months on average for a correction).
• It organizes trainings to users so everyone can use the P&L tool correctly (typically by group of 20 users).
As part of the P&L and Unit Cost Analysis Support team, you will have direct responsibility for the cost allocations of some perimeters of Orange Business Services as International Business Operations (eg Service desk, Field operations) and International network. List of perimeters can evolve depending of the workload of each member of the team.
• You verify monthly the evolution of the unit costs of your perimeter (costs, volumes, unit costs per country and complexity factor)
• You analyze deviations in relation to your operational contacts
• If there is any issue with the methodology, you are the first contact for financial and operational users. You have to propose model improvements to increase productivity or lower unit costs
• You also work on specific customer cases before or after sales.
• You prepare the half-yearly evolution of cost logic with the business.
• You prepare analyses for the monthly P&L views on your perimeters
• You work in English and French, written and oral, with interlocutors from various countries and organizations (Sales Channels, Factories, Finance).
• You will be led to work in project mode on the integration of other perimeters with the costing tool
• You give training on P&L tools to group of users
You work to improve documentation of methodologies and training materials.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong Excel and Access modeling skills
• Ability to lead cross divisional/functional teams and drive organizations at all levels to achieve goals
• Demonstrate strong commercial and business acumen
• Ability to rapidly assimilate new information
• A motivated individual with the ability to effectively prioritize a demanding workload
• Ability to operate with a minimum of supervision
• Service provider experience critical, at best a background in network or IT engineering, process modeling
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage large complex projects and teams essential
• Previous experience with profitability and cost modeling
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Science, Engineering, Business or Finance
• Ability to speak English, French a big advantage
