Job description, responsibilities and duties
Overview:
Orange Business Services provides global telecommunications services to multinational companies.
The portfolio includes WAN, LAN, Telephony, UCC, Telepresence, Security, Cloud solutions, Managed Services, Professional Services, M2M, IoT.
Typically such a multinational customer is not in Telecom business, has hundreds to thousands of offices, factories and shops across the globe and has/will outsource(ed) the provision telecom services to a global provider. The Presales Consultant is therefore exposed to a multitude of industries and must deal with the related flexibility.
The Presales team in Bratislava supports customer accounts all across the European region when they issue RFPs to source or renew telecommunication services.
A Presales consultant’s role is to provide responses to RFPs: understand and analyse customer requirements, design, price and describe the most effective solution.
The response covers a technical solutions, financial part, SLA, Service management.
After the submission of the solution, the Consultant actively redesigns and reprices the offer during further rounds until the contract signature and start of implementation.
The Consultant is part of a senior bid team located in various countries of Europe.
The profile has a mixed a technical and business aspect.
Requirmenents:
Excellent understanding of telecommunication business and technology inclusive of solution justification.
Excellent network (LAN & WAN) technical architecture knowledge.
Expertise in high level design and solution description.
Proven track record in technical leadership for complex project (design and/or implementation).
At least an area of specialization in the following domain is expected:
• WAN / LAN incl. traffic acceleration and optimisation
• Telephony
• Network security welcome
• IT Services (Data center, servers, storage etc)
• Integration Services and Equipment resale
• Service Management
Desirable skills:
• Consultancy experience
• Business development experience
• Demonstrated competence in management of large projects is desirable
• ITIL, Cisco, PM certifications
