Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Further develop the team of manufacturing engineers in Slovakia Operations site
- Responsibility for stability and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and tools of the site to meet world-class manufacturing requirements
- Responsible as receiving partner for New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Close collaboration with R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) line in our Swiss headquarter to support transfers of new technologies and products
- Ramp up new products in close cooperation with manufacturing department
- Yield Improvement of released products in the site and feedback of learnings to the R&D team for future developments
- Responsibility for the manufacturing engineering budget, its economical and efficient use
- Responsibility for monitoring and improving process and equipment performance (yield, line throughput)
- Own product and process related documentation (Control plan, Flow chart, SPC charts)
- Support purchasing, certification, and all care of the equipment
- Owning specific capacity models and monitor machine loads and specific product line capacity
- Responsibility for the health and safety of its staff
- Contribute to the company cooperative culture and the Lean Manufacturing spirit

- Advanced degree in Physics, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong technical background in micro technologies, semiconductors, micro-optics, or other process-intensive industries
- Good understanding of SPC
- Min. 5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing and process-product integration, process control, and improvement
- Self-motivated, proactive, and pragmatic with a growth mindset
- Strong collaborative team player with high intercultural sensitivity and a global mindset.
- Desire to challenge conventional thinking
- Strong planner and finisher with creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Desire to challenge conventional thinking and motivated to think out of the box
- Excellent knowledge of English. Slovak and German are an advantage
- Location: Trnava w/ min. 80% on-site
