• Improvement of existing products with a focus on cost reduction
• Understand the customer needs to continuously improve the existing product portfolio
• Design, development and qualification of new product generations during the product lifecycle
• Contribute to the technical and project knowledge management
• Collaboration and reporting in multidisciplinary project teams across different countries and inspire team members to strive for alignment, business perspective and high performance

Personality requirements and skills
• MSc/BSc degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or equivalent
• Experience in product development, preferably in optics, mechanical engineering, or consumer electronics industries
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred
• Product design experience (e.g. with Solidworks, Altium , Comsol)
• Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning
• Familiar with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC and other statistical modelling
• Creative and analytical thinking, proactive, well organized, autonomous, hands-on, open-minded for challenging ideas
• Excellent knowledge of English (proficiency)
