Senior Firmware Engineer

Your Opportunity: Working in our agile product development team, you are responsible for developing and advancing new control and test firmware projects within the consumer electronics industry. You have the opportunity to contribute with new ideas and solutions on the hardware and software/firmware side to realize new prototypes and products enabling a transfer of our core technologies into the market.

Your main responsibilities:
• Leading and supporting firmware projects, feasibility studies and evaluations
• Development, implementation and verification of new embedded electronics hardware and firmware for use in products, test- and processing infrastructure
• Development of firmware solutions for new product ideas and test apparatus
• Automation of production lines, test equipment and data acquisition systems
• Cross divisional cooperation to ramp-up delivery of firmware / electronic products.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to achieve customer specific products

Qualifications:
• MSc/BSc degree in electrical engineering, embedded engineering or equivalent studies
• Passion in electronics and firmware and its implementation into new products
• Practical knowledge in analog and digital circuit design (implementing circuits, sensor and actuation interfaces etc.)
• Experience in firmware (C, C++) design, testing and project documentation of systems
• Experience in modelling controllers and systems is an asset
• Experience in software development using Python, Visual Basic, LabView is an asset
• Creative and analytical thinking, proactive, well-organized, autonomous and open-minded for challenging ideas.
• Hands-on person with good people skills
• Good German and English round off your profile
