Job description, responsibilities and duties
As an expert in embedded software development you are responsible for designing, implementing and testing a wide variety of firmware and FPGA logic.
Your main responsibilities:
• Planning, development and testing of firmware.
• Planning, development, simulation and testing of VHDL logic for FPGA’s used in products as well as test and processing infrastructure.
• Running development projects, feasibility studies and evaluations.
• Suggest on firmware and VHDL solutions for new product designs, test apparatus and equipment.
• Close collaboration with product managers, project leaders as well as firmware engineering and electronics engineering teams.
• Documentation and maintenance of manuals.

• MSc/BSc degree in electrical or software engineering or equivalent studies.
• Practical experience in firmware development and testing using C and C++
• Practical experience in VHDL development including design, simulation and testing.
• Experience in real-time operating systems.
• Passion in firmware and VHDL development and its implementation into new products.
• Basic knowledge in digital, analog, and power electronics (implementing circuits, sensor and actuation interfaces etc.) is a valuable asset.
• Basic knowledge in VLSI design is an asset.
• Experience in modeling controllers and systems is an asset.
• Good project management skills.
• Creative and analytical thinking, proactive, well organized, autonomous, hands-on, open-minded for challenging ideas.
• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English (Common European Framework C1)
