Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a Senior Development Engineer-Electronics (m/f) to strengthen our R&D team in Bratislava.
As an expert in analog and digital electronics you are responsible for designing, testing and implementing a wide variety of electronics.
Your main responsibilities:
• Close collaboration with product managers and project leaders.
• Complete development and implementation of new electronics hardware for use in products, test- and processing infrastructure.
• Running electronics projects, feasibility studies and evaluations.
• Suggest on electronics hardware solutions for new product ideas, test apparatus and equipment.
• Creation of schematics and layouts.
• Design verification and planning of required actions.
• Documentation and maintenance of manuals.
• Support supply chain in ramp-up of electronic products.
• Building up valuable manufacturing relations.
• Building up and leading a team of engineers.
• Coordination interface to Optotune headquarters.

• MSc/BSc degree in electrical engineering or equivalent studies.
• At least 7 years of experience in electronics design. Preferably using Altium.
• Passion in electronics and its implementation into new products.
• Practical knowledge in analog, digital and power electronics (implementing circuits, sensor and actuation interfaces etc.).
• Experience in firmware (C, C++) and FPGA programming (VHDL) are valuable assets.
• Experience in modeling controllers and systems is an asset.
• Good management and leadership skills.
• Solid negotiation skills.
• Creative and analytical thinking, proactive, well organized, autonomous, hands-on, open-minded for challenging ideas.
• Highly proficient in both spoken and written English (Common European Framework C1)
