Job description, responsibilities and duties

ON Semiconductor’s Corporate R&D (CRD) organization is responsible for the selection, acquisition, design, verification, integration and support of reusable intellectual property (IP) that is then used to facilitate custom ASIC and ASSP developments.
We are seeking experienced design engineers to join the Analog IP team.

Responsibilities:
• Interpreting requirement specifications and performing feasibility study
• Transistor and block level CMOS circuit design and tune for performance and manufacturability
• Detailed design simulation and top level verification
• Supervision of layout and post-layout verification
• Write design documentation and test guidance
• Train/mentor junior colleagues
• Silicon prototype lab evaluation and whole ICs debug support

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related field
• 5+ years of silicon proven experience designing analog or memory circuitry
• Experience in circuit design theory and circuit concepts to create original and state of art solutions
• Knowledge of DFT techniques for analog and mixed signal design
• Solid understanding of semiconductor process technology and device physics
• Hands-on experience with industry standard design and verification tools (e.g. Cadence, Mentor, …)
• Written and verbal communication skills in English

Having the following skills is a plus:
• Experience with memory development such as SRAM/ROM/NVM/OTP
• Experience with behavioral models development of analog blocks in Verilog-A/AMS and/or VHDL-AMS
• Experience with mixed-signal design and verification tools
