Job description, responsibilities and duties
The incumbent would be part of Oracle EBS DBA team responsible for the administration of all Oracle application servers and databases associated with the Oracle ERP application (E-Business Suite). The role is also responsible for providing data management operations to ensure the security, quality, performance, and accessibility of Oracle ERP databases. Also provides DBA consulting to the ERP development organization. In addition, the candidate must have experience with Oracle EBS R12, Oracle 11g database server, High Availability procedures, Disaster Recovery, Database Capacity Management, Archiving, and Performance Testing.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the technical procedures, standards and security for Oracle databases and EBS R12.
• Provide ongoing consultation and documentation on the design, accessibility, and maintenance of database systems.
• Creation/cloning of Oracle EBS instances for development and testing purposes.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of Oracle applications and the database.
• Database backup/restore activities.
• Production database support and issue resolution.
