Data Engineer

We are looking for skilled Data Engineer to join our CVM team at O2 Slovakia. You will gain exposure to international PPF projects with support from PPF Group and participate in monthly knowledge-sharing meetings, conferences, and team building events. This is an opportunity for skill development in Dataclair and job rotation within PPF Data Science Group.
As a Data Engineer at O2 Slovakia, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data architecture in the field of advanced analytics solutions and machine learning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop scalable data pipelines, and ensure the reliability, efficiency and quality of our data infrastructure. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced analytics solutions and machine learning models that drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and building of ML models.
• Propose and implement Azure infrastructure changes to optimize the environment for various machine learning and data processing use cases in cooperation with the Azure engineers.
• Process big volume of telco data using (py)Spark and prepare them for ML models.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and implement solutions that address business challenges.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Implement data quality and validation procedures to maintain the integrity of our data assets.
• Help data scientists with software engineering practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, and proactively recommend improvements to our data infrastructure.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, with proficiency in building and optimizing data pipelines on big data using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, or similar technologies.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms.
• You’re keen to grow in any of the above skills you might be lacking.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent english

What do we offer to you? :

• Basic monthly salary at least: 2400€ / gross
• In addition to the basic salary, you can also receive annual bonus of 15%.
