Value & Access Lead

To bring our product portfolio to even more patients in need, we are looking for a Value & Access Lead. In this role, you will lead the implementation of a sustainable Patient Access strategy and assist in the positioning of Novartis products and negotiating conditions in Categorization and Reimbursement procedures with members of the Categorization committee, Categorization Council and Health Insurance companies.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare submissions of Value Dossier to regulatory authorities applying high standards of operational excellence – collect data and prepare Pricing & Reimbursement (P&R) analyses to support argumentation in the P&R procedure
• Maintain the whole administration process of Pricing & Reimbursement
• Assist in observing Slovak Health Care politics and update the Head of Market Access on regular basis to ensure that Novartis Pharma is prepared for new developments
• Contact the Authorities including the Health Insurance Companies on a regular basis
• Build and leverage strong networks and relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders and individual and institutional key decision-makers, to optimize the positioning of Novartis products and support current and future P&R conditions
• Work in close cooperation with Marketing and with the medical department to manage the optimal outcomes of the categorization
• Keep up to date on the categorization and reimbursement process in Slovakia
• Create insightful reports that translate the outputs of analysis of relevant data on the pricing and reimbursement strategy of Novartis and competitor products into impactful business recommendations

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University degree in Life Science/ Business Management / Economics
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Slovakia; Experience with reimbursement dossier compilation - preferred
• Superb negotiation and analytical skills and ability to support and understand tenders/deals within Slovakia
• Fluent Slovak and English – both languages required at proficiency level
• Understanding of National Health Care, the regulatory environment of drug Pricing & Reimbursement and Listing processes

Desirable requirements:
• Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate legal topics in the market access area
• Team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills
