Job description, responsibilities and duties

The person we are looking for will work in Bratislava within an innovative, international environment, as part of a motivated team.

• Responsible for completion and accuracy of accounting, tax and statutory compliance for Slovakia based businesses and legal entities, including local reporting as well as group reporting under IFRS
• Supervise, support and coordinate activities of assigned accountants in the day-to-day accounting operation
• Coordination of closing processes, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Responsibility for preparation and submission of VAT and CIT tax declarations
• Responsibility and accounting reporting for subsidiary entities
• Compilation of regular and ad hoc reports for company management, data provision
• Creating and enhancing accounting policies and procedures across the department
• Collaborates with external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, banks, tax authorities
• Work consultatively with the respective departments
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Wage (gross)

2 800 EUR/monthThe final offer will be agreed with regard to your experience

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

Economical is preferred

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Advanced (C1)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

• Qualified accountant (ACCA or similar)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Good command of English (at least B2 level)
• At least 8 years working experience in accountancy/finance preferably in multinational companies
• At least 3 years’ experience in managerial position
• Excellent knowledge of Slovakian GAAP and IFRS standards
• Strong leadership, people management and communication skills
• Well organized, result driven, able to work within a rapidly changing environment
• Attention to details
• Team player

• Oracle accounting system knowledge
• IFRS certified accountant qualification
