Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies and shopper activation plans across the Slovak and Czech markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade & Shopper Strategy
· Develop and implement annual trade marketing plans for Slovakia & Czech Republic.
· Translate brand & marketing strategies into channel-specific activation plans.
· Drive shopper marketing initiatives across modern trade, traditional trade, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
· Lead portfolio visibility, shelving & merchandising strategy in cooperation with sales teams.
· Manage brand presence & POSM strategy across priority channels and retailers.
Activation & Execution
· Plan and execute promotional campaigns, in-store activations, and retail events.
· Coordinate listing launches, NPD introductions, and category initiatives.
· Ensure excellence in retail execution and brand visibility.
· Develop POS materials and promotional mechanics tailored to local shoppers.
· Monitor compliance and implementation through field teams or external agencies.
Business & Commercial Support
· Support Key Account Managers with category insights and activation proposals.
· Prepare trade presentations, retailer sell-in materials, and activation calendars.
Others:
· Analyze sell-out data, market trends, and consumer/shopper behavior.
· Track category and channel performance using Nielsen / GfK / retailer data.
· Monitor competitive activities and in-store environment.
· Prepare regular business and post-activation reports.
· Work closely with: Brand Marketing, Sales & Key Accounts, Finance & Supply Chain, External agencies and in-store execution partners
