Who we are:

We are an original Slovak software company. Since we are not part of any foreign parent group, everything - from product development and customer support to growth and sales - is managed entirely in-house. We have developed our own product, Unimus, which we sell globally. Our network automation and management solution is used by organizations of all sizes - from small local networks, through data centers and telecom operators, to well-known companies outside the IT sector.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Network Analyst who will bridge the gap between networking and software development. You will act as a key partner to our development team in building and improving our products – a network automation and configuration management solution.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong networking background who can understand customer environments in depth and translate complex technical concepts into practical inputs for development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide network-specific expertise to development teams

  • Discuss complex networking concepts and protocols with development teams, translating them into clear and actionable inputs for developers

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret network-related data (SNMP, CLI) from customers

  • Propose improvements and solutions to our software based on real-world network scenarios

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers on technical design, implementation, and troubleshooting of our network management software

  • Analyze real-world customer network environments (topologies, configurations, protocols) and translate them into product requirements and specifications

  • Handle technical calls with customers to understand their infrastructure, use cases, and challenges to support them in our software

  • Create specifications which identify and document common and edge-case scenarios (multi-vendor networks, legacy devices, various network OS)

  • Provide technical expertise on networking protocols and architectures (e.g. SNMP, SSH, VLANs, MSTP, MLAG, routing protocols, etc.)

  • Contribute to the design of communication drivers with network devices (CLI, SNMP, APIs, automation approaches)

  • Create internal documentation, knowledge base content, and supporting materials for development

  • Support testing and validation of features of our sofware in a real-world networking scenarios

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and team training

Requirements for the employee

Minimum education required

Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Requirements

  • Experience with network configuration (L2/L3)

  • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, VPN, etc.)

  • Experience with networking devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, HP, etc.)

  • Experience in monitoring (SNMP), or a closely related specialist role

  • Experience with network automation tools or NMS systems (SNMP-based, NetBox, Ansible, Terraform for networking, ...)

  • Ability to read and analyze network device configurations

  • Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to both developers and customers

  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to connect details into a bigger picture

  • Excellent English language skills (written & spoken)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with technical documentation or writing

  • Familiarity with APIs (REST, JSON)

  • Experience with scripting or automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell ...) is a plus

  • Background in SaaS or product-driven environments
