We are a growing Slovakian software company developing our own network automation and management software suite (https://unimus.net). We have over 3000 deployments of our software stack world-wide, running everywhere from small local networks to regional ISPs, data-centers and national-scale telcos/carriers. We are currently working on expanding our platform, and are building multiple new software products scheduled for release next year.
We are looking for a new addition to our team - a support specialist with experience with networking and Linux. Your job will be to serve as the contact point for our customers, process incoming support tickets, and watch over the ticket lifecycle. If you can't solve tickets directly, it will be your responsibility to hand off tickets to developers and keep oversight over the ticket lifecycle to make sure the ticket is successfully resolved.
This position is not for an "end-user" facing support, our users are highly technical, you will be in contact with network administrators, Linux sysadmins and other technical roles.
Since you will be in direct contact with our customers, your key traits should be politeness, willingness and enthusiasm to help, and to solve tickets to the customer's satisfaction. Fluent written and spoken English is a requirement.
Requirements:
- basic to advanced networking knowledge (Layer 2 - 4)
- experience with network configuration and management
- advanced Linux knowledge (system utilities, bash, databases, apache/nginx)
- experience with Linux deployment, configuration and management
- enthusiasm and willingness to help our customers and to work in US timezone (12.00-8.00 p.m.)
- fluent written and spoken English
