As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll join our team of mayor producer of batteries and energy supplies. Your role involves system engineering, administration, and project support to ensure system stability, security, and performance.
Location: Bratislava
Allocation: remote possible, at least once per week in Bratislava
Language: EN is necessary, SK not needed
Work time: Bratislava time (CET / CEST) with occasional need to extend time in evening t meet with US. Normally all US meetings will be covered during our time from 2pm to 6pm.
Team: up to 6 people – Slovak, Mexican, US based.
Utilisatinon: 100% (start with lower utilisation possible but not prefered)
Duration of the project: long-term cooperation
Key Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking to expand the use of its Privileged Access Management platform, CyberArk to secure a broader set of privileged credentials across its Hybrid-cloud architecture. Our client IT manages approximately 1000 Windows Servers and 500 Linux Servers deployed in both VMWare and Azure Hyper V clusters. Our client has operationalised basic PAM practices in Windows and Linux servers, but seeks to expand those practices into its Virtual Infrastructure, Storage, Backups, Network, Database, and critical application admins.
The Engineer will be responsible for working with administrators of the target platforms to identify opportunities for securing critical privileged credentials, working with our client IAM/PAM architect to identify mitigating controls to secure those credentials, and then apply such controls using our client security platforms and tools (CyberArk, Azure PIM or custom automation).
To succeed, the candidate will need a breadth experience in a variety of Enterprise IT skillsets. No candidate will have all the desired skillsets, but a strong candidate will have some working knowledge of the following:
- Analyzing of current solutions regarding the IT security and revealing the IT threats.
- Proposing the best solution to resolve and manage IT threats
- Administration of IT security processes regarding the access and identity management
- Responsibility for right setting-up the accesses to servers, virtual stations and machines, backups, Cybersec Vault (password management), MS Azure, Azure AD.
- Responsibility for maintaining the access databases.
- Responsibility over right setting-up of regular backups
- Communication with systems administrators
- Setting-up and supervise the security strategy of company IT systems and Admin roles regarding the IT.
- Clearing the backlog (currently 100+ task pending there to be analyzed and to resolve)

- Proven senior experience with Microsoft Azure Security procedures
- Senior Experience with MS Azure Active Directory (note RV: must be Azure AD, not just an „AD“)
- Senior Experience with Azure Privileged Access management
- Understanding of network components, protocols and firewall rules - being able to communicate and assign work to networking team.
- Experience with hardening servers and application environments
- Experiences with PowerShell scripting
- Basic experience with Password Vaults
- Experiences with analyzing the IT security solution
- Experiences with Virtual machines, VMware / Hyper V, Windows Server, Networks and architectures
- Ability to manage and setting-up the IT security solutions according to company’s security policy.
- Ability to work independently.
