Senior System Engineer - US Work-time

​As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll join our global technology team, supporting a hybrid IT environment. Your role involves system engineering, administration, and project support to ensure system stability, security, and performance. You'll contribute to strategic planning and drive simplification and standardization initiatives.

• Remote work within EU
• Willing to work US time shift (Could be modified based on agreement between 11:00 to 19:00 OR 14:00 - 22:00. Fridays could be adjusted to CET time.)
• Project location: Tampa, Florida (no travel required)
• Project duration: initially 6 m + extension afterwards

Key Responsibilities:

• Takes ownership of designated systems, acting as the subject matter expert.
• Performs Tier 1 Application Support, including buildout and management of IIS, Web Services, SQL Servers, and Databases.
• Ensures system stability, security, and documentation.
• Participates in change management processes and develops standards.
• Contributes to strategic planning and short, medium, and long-term objectives.
• Administers and optimizes hosts and servers, ensuring high availability and resource management.
• Standardizes and automates processes using scripting technology.
• Installs and configures operating systems, software, and hardware components.
• Conducts root-cause analysis and establishes preventive measures.
• Implements and maintains backups, security, and redundancy strategies.
• Supports SOX compliance and participates in audits.
• Adheres to standards, best practices, and SLAs.
• Manages operational costs and stays current on industry trends.

​Qualifications:

• Certifications in IT system administration (MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, etc.).
• 5+ years of hands-on IT engineering experience.
• Mastery in Active Directory Services, server management, virtualization, VPN, security, and backups.
• Experience with Azure AD, hybrid cloud environments, DevOps, and database administration.
• Ability to articulate technical and nontechnical ideas effectively.
• Experience with vendor management, remote server management, and application support.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP Networks and OSI model.
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
