For a newly established Insights Platform development team, we are looking for experienced data engineers. The new team will be developing new features for Insights Platform as well as support adoption and implementation all over the globe.
The Insights Platform is an end-to-end next-generation big data analytics service that is composed of best-of-breed tools and services to support ingestion, hygiene, refinement, analytic processing, and visualization of data.
Your responsibilities
As a data engineer in the Insights Platform Development team you will be:
● Assisting clients in achieving their business goals by developing innovative and valuable Data solutions, utilizing statistical data modeling, programming IT systems, and reporting
● Participating in the whole project life cycle – from the initial project analysis, through design and development to the installation and implementation
● Applying expertise in quantitative business analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers
● Understanding of project team roles and pro-active contribution to overall target achievement and project success
Our requirements
● Strong previous experience working in a data-driven role (either as an external consultant or an in-house expert) in one or more of the following sectors: Finance, Telco, Energy, or Manufacturing industry
● BSc or MSc University degree (preferably in Math, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Operational Research or related)
● Strong command of data analysis tools and technologies (SQL, Python, R)
● Knowledge of tools and programming languages used in large data sets analysis in the Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Hive, Pig)
● Experience with building data pipelines to integrate various applications and systems (ETL)
● Willingness to learn new tools and software solutions.
● Very good command of English
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills - essential in day-to-day cooperation with clients and the team
