Job description, responsibilities and duties
As a Junior Network Engineer you will be working on both tuning the network infrastructure in order to assure the successful project completion as well as giving support for the implemented solutions.
You will be part of a constantly evolving environment, transforming and improving it by putting your ideas into practice.
Responsibilities:
- Cover projects focused on refreshing the network infrastructure at a group level
- Maintain and support virtual private networks, firewalls, web protocols, internal applications etc.
- Configure and deploy the VPN devices, implement new features and investigate issues occurring
- Request IP addresses and VLANs to be implemented, request LAN ports, DNS changes or any other related requests
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, ensuring protocols and processes are in place
- Develop authentication and authorization protocols
- Tests circuits with suppliers, test gateways configuration; manage vendor relationship
- Attend pre-install meeting and assist to resolve issues determined relevant for successful installation or project completion
- Support equipment installation remotely and document implementation
- Maintain switches and the authentication management servers
- Remain current with new developments in the field (Opportunity to gain current knowledge from area of cloud services)
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of VPN (experience with Pulse Secure / Juniper SSL VPN Gateways is an advantage)
- Experienced with network authentication management (Radius, LDAP)
- Good understanding of network security
- Experienced with configuration and deployment of network devices
- Knowledge of common High Availability solutions (load balancers, clusters)
- Relevant experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Previous experience with Linux and scripting languages (Perl/Python)
- Experience with cloud services is an advantage
- Good English skills (B2 level)
- Open approach to work on new projects
