Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are searching for Backup specialists to become member of an international team and support our clients to migrate servers after merger with another entity, continuing later as part of the core team structure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance to Backup/Storage Administrators and Support Analysts
- Installs and maintains SAN, NAS, Tape Backup Systems and related software including upgrades, preventative and corrective maintenance through the change management process and within scheduled maintenance windows
- Administer the configuration of Storage and Backup Platform and services for all data centers
- Monitor hardware and software updates and recommends and implements maintenance to keep systems current and according support requirements
- Develops Disaster Recovery plans, procedures and test scenarios and participate in regular DR rehearsals
- Develops and maintains SOX procedures, adheres to SOX policies and gathers evidence for SOX audits
- Monitors maintains and reports systems availability within Operating Level Agreements
- Supports capacity planning by capturing data, analyzing trends and making upgrade recommendations
- Participates in planning and execution of server workload migrations and consolidations
- Provides effective technical documentation to clearly communicate procedures and developments to other IT personnel
- Supports HW related issues, investigates the root cause and cooperates with vendors
- Performs hardware changes in case of failures
