Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join our Field IT local support technician team and maintain the IT environment liaising with other IT teams, business units and third parties. Provide support diagnosing hardware/software faults and resolution of technical problems face-to-face in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring the stable operation of the desktop environment. To support and maintain geographical sites requirements may include some travelling.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing L1 & L2 walk-up incidents and requests and complete through resolution whenever possible
  • Logging and routing all other tickets to appropriate higher support groups
  • Liaise with L2 / L3 support groups to facilitate resolution of incidents and requests
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions
  • Understand and apply best practices and standards defined by the management team
  • Focus on customer service excellence, providing a professional business-focused approach to the support role
  • Participate and submit ideas to improve the technical and procedural requirements for maintaining the PC environment

Requirements:
  • The ability to communicate relevant information in a user-friendly non-technical language
  • Fluency in English, written and oral
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware
  • Working technical knowledge of current operating systems, and standards
  • Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
  • Efficient prioritization and management of workload
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Able to understand technical procedural documentation, and OEM guides
  • Nice to have: College diploma/ university degree in the field of computer science and Microsoft Certifications
  • Experience with Service Now service management system represents an advantage
