Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The SACM Engineer focuses on controlling and ever greening the network devices, central databases and local systems containing data and information about telecoms infrastructure network assets.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor internal & external events, analyse their impact on the network and initiate non-service impacting corrective actions
- Handling Data Record Discrepancies and data requests in network device configuration, Visio diagrams and or in various GUI controlled databases
- Handle fallout related to Compliance of Infrastructure Devices and or related to Data Quality Key Measures
- Responsible for keeping the managed network configuration compliant to the defined standards, by performing non-service impacting network configuration changes either via EMC Voyence or manual
- Performing corrections as indicated in configuration audits reports (both in the operational network as in GUI controlled databases)
- Responsible for accurate and in-time reporting of management information on a monthly basis
- Explore opportunities to efficiently and effectively keep a growing global network infrastructure compliant with the defined standards
- Create technology related work-instructions

- Strong team player with the ability to initiate and maintain strong relationships with other sub-process peers
- An ability to work in a multi-dimensional work environment, and to share at all times information with peers in other teams at different locations, even when done under tight time constraints
- Oral/written communication and analytical decision-making skills
