Job description, responsibilities and duties
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is recruiting for an experienced grants/project manager to oversee the implementation and reporting for grants implemented by Nadacia HFHI and HFHI Switzerland.
This position is located in Slovakia and requires up to 25% travel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grant Proposal Coordination
* Participate in the proposal development phase to ensure compliance with statutory and donor-imposed requirements.
* Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure quality assessment of developed proposals.
Grant Implementation
* Coordinate the hiring process for the project teams.
* Participate in and represent Nadacia HFHI during the project kick-off meetings.
* Monitor the project implementation and communicate to donor and other stakeholders.
* Prepare narrative reports if requested, act as a liaison between the Resource development department (RD), Grants Compliance & Donor Reporting (GCDR) department and EMEA Finances.
Finance
* Monitor financial performance of the grants, collaborate with EMEA Finance to resolve any issues.
* Coordinate preparation of programmatic reports to donor. Perform quality assessment of the reports.
* Coordinate programmatic and financial audits of the funded projects.
* Represent Nadacia HFHI during the project close-out meetings.
* Coordinate and lead post-implementation audits and evaluations.
* Make recommendations leading to project implementation improvements.
Grant Management Systems
* Ensure all relevant programmatic and financial information for grants is retained in a systematic manner and readily available to stakeholders.
* Regularly inform Area Leadership Team (ALT) on implementation progress of the grants, identify possible risks and work with ALT on mitigation actions.
* Act as a Chief of Party during the initial implementation phase, close-out phase and during CoP transition.

* Project management skills.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills in English.
* Must have excellent problem – solving, and decision-making skills.
PREFERED:
* Report writing and presentation skills in French or German
