Job description, responsibilities and duties

Bátor Tábor Slovakia foundation is looking for a proactive, dynamic and responsible person that is not afraid of administrative work and interested in working for regional non-profit organization, helping children with chronic diseases.

What would your job be?

Fundraising activities:
• Assist with organizing local fundraising campaigns (Tím Odvahy, 3rd party events), evaluate the results of the operations and the campaigns regularly and systematically
• Assist with the realization of other local activities of Bátor Tábor Slovakia (such as volunteer recruitment, camper recruitment, outreach programs) in cooperation with fundraising and event manager and with the employees of the parent foundation
• Seek and identify new corporate and individual donors, corporate partners and events, maintain relationship with existing ones, identify and test new opportunities for fundraising
• Assist with 2% tax donation campaign (seeking potential donors of 1%/2% of tax donation, posting letters to new and existing donors)
• Help with translating documents into Slovak/English (flyers, graphic materials, sponsorship materials, adverts, material for the media)

Organization of Contemporary Art Auction:
• Coordination and distribution of Save The Date letters and invitations, contact with the SOGA auction house, assist with collecting data from artists
• Assist with auction catalogue preparation
• preparing and handling buyers and artists´ contracts, coordination of the show prepared with the campers;
• Assist with modifying the auction website (texts, pictures)
• Participation at foundation events and related meetings

We are looking for a person who is:
- interested in working for non-governmental sector and within international environment of 4 countries
- detailed oriented person, prepared to deal with administrative work
- creative and responsible person with good time management, being able to work within flexible working hours
- with general overview of current topics
- actively (writing and speaking) using English language, Slovak is must
- a position is suitable for university student, fresh graduate or mother on maternity leave


Brief description of the company

Bator Tabor is a regional non-profit organization, helping children with chronic diseases in 4 countries: Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic.

We provide them free, life-changing recreational therapy programs since 2001. In year 2018, we have given back the courage to 1600 children and/or affected family members, through our programs:
1. 5- or 7-day long recreational therapy camp sessions at our own, medically safe facility in Hungary and
2. Short play sessions in hospitals
In 2019 we plan to help 2500 ill kids and affected relatives in Slovakia, Czech republic.

We are looking for a fundraising or event associate to help us achieve our goals in Slovakia and be able to give back the joy of childhood to even more ill children in the future.
