Job description, responsibilities and duties

In 2020, we will expand our R&D center in Nitra, which will become the biggest and the most modern in Slovakia. In a few next years we will expand our teams and hire 80 specialists for research and development. Our projects are very complex automated lines composed from several modules. Due to that, we are looking for a manager who may take responsibility for our mechanical design department.

Do you have this approach? If yes, then it is in your hands to learn our technologies and lead the team.

You will be resposible for whole department which includes:

  • Complex management of mechanical design department
  • Coordination of colleagues in different seniority from team leader to junior mechanical designer
  • Organization of tasks for your department and controlling quality and time manners
  • Evaluation of employees in given department
  • Coordination of projects and participation on technical solution
  • International cooperation with all R&D locations
  • Strategic planning of company’s development and improvement
  • Cost reduction related to projects
  • Close cooperation with other departments (Process, Software, Technical documentation, Project management, Assembly, Production)
  • Bringing new solutions regarding to product specification and customer request
  • Responsibility for creation of machines concept for new prototypes
  • Responsibility for estimation of costs and time planning
  • Revision of machines design
  • Risk analysis and estimation of danger regarding to regulations CE

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  • 2-5 years of experience in similar role ( conceptual planning or leading mechanical design department or any other related technical department), with proven results and development
  • Experience in leading at least 5 colleagues
  • English B2, because you will communicate in international scale
  • Professional user of any CAD software ( we are using SolidWorks)
  • Active user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • University degree focused on Technical area
  • You are able to say NO, when is needed
