What are we doing?

In the office we have our own secret world. Our development team is mainly focused on chip encoding.
We have available many card readers and they are supporting communication with different chip types.
Cards can be contact and/or contactless based, and generally encoding involves managing data in their memory.
Good enough chip programmer should know how to use card operating system and what to say about one story named APDU commands.
For example, interindustry APDU commands are able to do read/write operations or authentication.
But you can often meet with Global Platform commands, which are supporting operations such applets installations, personalisation of data, secure messaging, etc.
There are used cryptographic operations, special features, secret keys, protection devices and a lot of software applications.
This is just a little part of what is awaiting for you in your new position.

What else to expect?

You will
• Have the oportunity to work on government projects creating chip encoding solutions for ID cards, passports, driving licenses, bank cards...
• Work with MS SQL server databases, update and manage database tables and stored procedures using SSMS or C#
• Develop various solutions for external devices like printers, scanners or readers to make them work for our framework
• Work with Windows 10, including services handling, network & device management, registry editor, external/internal applications and installations
• Have Daily conversations in English with colleagues and customers worldwide
• Work with XML, CSV, INI files to configure our personalization software
• Perform tests with various process modules directly on personalization machines (lasers, readers, printers, vision...)
• Have tasks related to customer-specific chip coding solutions using different card readers and with usage of different chip types
• Occasionally travel to headquaters in Roding (Germany) and to customers production sites around the world for live support
• Cooperate with other departments to fullfil customer needs or requirements
• Get to contact with customer when device or software is deployed, including remote support
• Increase C# skills and analytical thinking
• Have a chance to encode chips for older machines, where C++ is beneficial
