Backend Test Engineer

Responsibilities include providing manual and/or automation testing of features and capabilities of the platform and/or applications.

• Independently testing tasks
• Analyzing business requirements
• Documenting software issues
• Coordinating with the product owner
• Preparing test plans, tracking and reporting test results
• Ensuring timely and effective testing

The role also involves resolving complex application/technical problems and working on system or infrastructure components.

Top candidates for the role should have:

• Strong API test automation framework development skills
• Experience in end-to-end system and integration testing
• Proficiency in developing test scripts and test data
• Expertise in testing Webservices (REST APIs) and writing SQL queries
• Familiarity with full stack testing and integration with third-party systems
• Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD, and code review practices
• Experience with tools like Apigee and DevOps concepts
• Agile team experience with understanding of Agile/Lean practices
• Understanding of microservice architecture
• Experience in load and performance testing
• Strong documentation and communication skills
