You support system activities in a specific process area, including analysis, design, and overseeing the implementation of system changes to increase effectiveness and efficiency aligned with corporate strategies.

How you will contribute

Working in a cross-functional environment, you will collaborate closely with global and regional teams to optimize SAP and integrated non-SAP systems and processes, translating business needs into functional requirements. You will define what the capability must achieve and how success will be measured and ensure that solutions are robust, strategically aligned and efficient to deliver and maintain. To succeed in this role, you must understand integration points in an integrated ERP system (i.e. SAP ECC), standalone, SAAS, and control systems and effectively interact with senior management from business and technology disciplines to keep them informed and to present highly complex solutions.

We seek a dynamic, technology savvy and commercially oriented data professional with a strong track record leading the design and implementation of successful digital content and syndication solutions at the global level in a multi-national business. S/he will be familiar with data syndication landscape for FMCG industry. S/he will be familiar with operating at the leading edge of technology innovation.

The Global Solution Owner, Digital Assets & Syndication is a member of the Data Management Transformation Team, focusing on creation and syndication of product data required by our Customers and Consumers, and instrumental to accelerate Mondelēz’s eCommerce priorities and growth. S/he is responsible to select, design and deliver multiple, parallel projects that result in significantly improved quality of data, and simplification of digital content syndication processes. The projects will transform processes, technology, and the organization to deliver consistently correct Product Digital Content across Enterprise, and externally. The successful candidate will directly supervise a team of 3+ people and collaborate closely with the Mondelēz resources related to Enterprise data solutions architecture and technology. S/he will have the responsibility to frame the value and have final say on the sequence of projects to be implemented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Builds subject matter expertise in digital content management and syndication technologies and best practices, and educates others
  • Responsible for the implementation & management of digital content strategy and technology capabilities (DAM, Salsify) focused on product data, and the internal and external services associated to it
  • Ensures the solutions are fit for purpose for digital content syndication and are adopted to its fullest potential across markets
  • Defines strategy and roles & responsibilities behind BPO Content Governance Team, in partnership with Operations teams and vendors.
  • Governs product digital content and process quality across creation and syndication (or leads transition of this responsibility to relevant Operations teams)
  • Partners with the Global Solution Owner for Product Aggregation and Syndication to optimize use of technology assets, and simplify e2e data flow
  • Partners with Digital Consumer Experience team to simplify solution landscape and improve speed of data delivery to consumers, and meet evolving digital shelf requirements
  • Enables Sales and Marketing by providing the insights, communication capabilities, and single source of trusted and governed product & content data (in partnership with Data Management Operations and Governance teams)
  • As part of the Portfolio, ensures robust & sustainable Data solutions which drive value (i.e. Application rationalization, process harmonization and innovation) in conjunction with business needs.
  • Controls costs by ensuring transparency of costs and total cost of ownership as new projects are implemented.
  • Self-educates by gathering information and learnings from peer companies, conferences and events to develop strategic solution roadmap for the Data Management area, taking emerging needs into account so a long-range plan and funding proposition can be worked out to be ready for future Data trends and challenges
  • Promotes new and better ways of delivering solutions, specifically builds DevOps capability in his/her team

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of content syndication business process & how data are leveraged to create business outcomes
  • Proven experience partnering with sales/marketing in delivering product data (digital assets, logistical information) to Customers across most demanding North America and European markets
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful data technology and data architecture strategies that deliver sustainable earnings and a competitive advantage
  • Sound DAM, PIM and GDSN knowledge, preferably with Adobe and Informatica experience
  • Proven experience managing third party vendors delivering solution support and BPO services
  • Experienced at identifying and evaluating innovative data technology companies and leading negotiations to conclude partnerships and/or alliances
  • Degree in Data Management, IT, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 10+ years of professional experience, preferably in Data Management / Data transformation, ideally in the consumer goods industry
  • 5+ years of experience in digital content and eCommerce
  • DAMA certifications or equivalent data certification is a plus!
