Job description, responsibilities and duties

You will perform detailed finance work, transactions and data structuring under the guidance of the Finance Manager. You will collect data, be responsible for maintaining information integrity, monitor reconciliations and conduct basic checks and controls.

You will:

  • Execute aspects of finance planning and performance management process and related financial decisions potentially including Annual Contract planning/forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modeling and decision support for a focused scope within a region, business unit, country, Supply Chain, Mondelēz International Business Services or Corporate Finance team. You will also execute data collection and data integrity checks
  • Contribute to a strong controls and compliance environment in area of scope and ensure full compliance with our policies
  • Execute ad hoc analyses and projects as requested by the Senior Finance Manager (or Director)
  • Support projects to improve efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and embrace a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Contribute to a high-performing Finance team. You will also invest in personal development and the development of your Finance peers

More about this role

The main purpose of the role is to prepare a comprehensive overview and financial planning analysis of various Commodity (e.g. Cocoa, Nuts) sourcing strategies that may include sophisticated market traded hedging tools (Options/Futures) in order to support decisions of Regional/Global Business Leaders (Presidents, CFO and Regional/Global Finance and Commodity/Procurement Leads). This includes preparation, tracking, review and analysis of commodity strategies and coverage reports due for approval at Regional/Global PNOC meetings.

Senior Analyst is supporting Commodity Finance Manager to prepare financial assessment for the PNOC (Commodity Strategies Review) meetings on European level. The holder of this position is also a business partner to the Commodities Price Risk Management team, Procurement and other Finance teams (Hedging Services, Treasury, Financial Planning & Reporting and Procurement Finance).

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports capturing Coverage of Commodity needs position that includes reconciliation of physical contracts and market traded hedges.
  • End-to-End ownership of Coverage reporting and analysis agenda of selected commodities
  • Provide insightful financial planning analysis of changes in coverage/hedging strategy
  • Business partnering to wide range of stakeholders (Consulting/Presentation)
  • Coordination, Consolidation and interpretation of complex data inputs
  • Support continuous improvement projects
  • Support Commodity Finance manager in other ad-hoc items.

Personality requirements and skills

Job specific requirements:

  • 2-3 years of practical experience in finance roles (Preferably in FP&A or Finance consolidation)
  • High command of MS office tools (Excel), Prior experience with financial planning systems
  • Strong communication, analytical skills and developed learning agility
  • Self-starter mentality and ability to work independently within complex and demanding environment
  • Ability to cooperate effectively with remote teams
  • Ability to manage multiple and diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while managing to specific deadlines
  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent financial studies
  • Financial Planning & Analysis experience is a big plus
  • Fluency in English
