Job description, responsibilities and duties

Role overview:
The main role of VAT Analyst is to manage all VAT compliance processes across the countries assigned to the incumbent, and to ensure compliance with the applicable VAT laws and the Mondelez indirect tax policy.

Main responsibilities:
  • Preparing VAT returns in scope and other associated tax and statistical declarations
  • Inform VAT team about procedural, legal or technical changes in Mondelez and provide training as appropriate
  • Support/ Drive establishing and continuously improving the ways of working throughout the entire VAT workflow
  • Monitor legal requirements and support local VAT inspections
  • Manage and oversee processes centralized in the VAT team, such as Foreign VAT recovery, VAT relevant material master data, Special external reporting

Qualifications:
  • Sound knowledge of VAT in Europe, at least 2 years working experience in the area of VAT or Accounting
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of SAP
  • English language – fluent
  • Good level of MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point
